Community and Government Service (Nunavut): Technical Professional Studies Scholarship

Description
The Department of Community and Government Services recognizes the challenges the government has to achieve the aims of Article 23 of the NLCA especially in the technical and professional designation positions. This scholarship program will attract more students into these areas and give Inuit Beneficiaries and Northerners opportunity to pursue studies in these fields of study.

To motivate and reward students in the field of engineering, informatics, community planning, business studies, college programs of firefighting, training and prevention and land administration.

Eligibility

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident Status (Landed Immigrant)
  • Be a resident of Nunavut for at least one year and intent to maintain residency
  • Be enrolling in a program that is at least 20 weeks in length and at a designated post-secondary or technical institution
  • Enrolled as a full time student and be working towards a degree, diploma or certificate.
  • Preference will be given to Nunavut Land Claim Beneficiaries.
